Entire woodwork based project in which students are required to design and make a wooden pencil holder shaped like a letter of choice. Pencil holder is made with pinewood and has been cut by hand to achieve the shape. Holes are drilled to hold pencils. Wood stain finish applied. Included in the download is a 58 slide power-point that covers 11, 40 minute lessons. Starter activities, main tasks, plenaries and homework tasks for each lesson. Single page worksheet that requires students to design a hand washing leaflet for the food prep kitchen. Prior to designing the poster, students should list the steps involved to wash hands effectively when handling food, as well as identify the situations in which they should wash their hands in the kitchen.
